Healing Happens When the Body Feels Safe

Most people arrive in therapy exhausted not just by their thoughts, but by the physical effort of holding themselves together. When chronic stress, anxiety, or compulsive habits take over, logic alone isn’t enough to calm the system.

My work centers on moving past the surface symptoms. Rather than treating depression, anxiety, or addiction as personal failures of willpower, we look at the underlying survival responses: the nervous system trapped in fight-or-flight, the functional freeze that makes simple tasks feel impossible, or the deep isolation driving destructive habits.

By integrating Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) with somatic, body-centered awareness, we create a collaborative container where your nervous system learns to unhook from obsessive mental narratives and experience genuine, lasting stability.

The Therapeutic Framework

Somatic Regulation

Learning to read and honor physical sensations before they escalate into overwhelm, panic, or complete shutdown.

Cognitive Defusion (ACT)

Observing thoughts without immediately obeying them or fighting them, creating space between the urge and the action.

Relational Connection

Rebuilding healthy environments, boundaries, and authentic relationships that sustain recovery and personal growth.
